NOTD: Above the Curve Prissy

Howdie ladies!  My darling friend April from SMYTC won a collection of polish from Above the Curve and she chose the Gone With the Wind collection... GONE WITH THE WIND!!  That is one of my favourite movies even though I don't have a lot of time to sit down and watch a 5 hour movie.. plus I don't think Tyler would want to sit and watch it with me, lol!

They have four colours in this collection: Miss Scarlet's Vittles, Prissy, Don't Call Me Sugar, and Fiddle-dee-dee.  Because April was not able to get Prissy with her prize, I decided to use this one first.

Now, when I put this on it didn't wow me.  It's pretty nude-ish, very conservative compared to what I've been wearing in the last little while, lol!  However, this morning (I polished last night), when I got these puppies in the sunlight the sparkle came out and it really came to life :)  This is a rosey pink shimmer with a gold duochrome and it definitely has some fire to it in the right light.  I still don't know that it is my favourite polish, but it would definitely be a great polish for anyone who has more strict office apparel rules than I do (I can wear the brightest neon to work and it's not a problem :) )  I would recommend at least 3 coats of this polish -- these pictures are shown with 2 coats and you can see that it is still pretty sheer.

If you are interested in purchasing any Above the Curve polishes, they have a shop on Etsy.

  3. I actually LOVE it! I wish I had gone with this instead of the Fiddle-Dee-Dee. Your nails are just perfect, Erica. Thanks so much for sharing, honey! I didn't think I would care for this color but it looks very good on your nails.
