Good morning! TWO more weeks till moving day!!! I can't believe it's almost here! :D
I thought I would start something a little different on here. I'm going to try to do more nail art on here, but when I do, I will also take pictures of the base colours I use and do a collective swatch post at the end of the week. Let me know how you guys like this idea :) I'm hoping this will help me with my ever-growing pile of untrieds :)

This is 3 coats of Julep Abbie from the April Brights collection. This is a BRIGHT yellow! I couldn't get over how bright it was on its own without a white base, and it's pretty opaque. It did go on a touch streaky, but it all evened out in the end :)
This is 2 coats of Julep Joy. This was an add-on for the Maven box a couple months ago. This is a gorgeous dusty rose colour, and is really unique in my collection! If you are looking for a dusty rose colour, I recommend this one. The formula was easy to work with.
This is 2 coats of Julep Julia. This is my new favouirte purple polish! This came from the December box, yes this is the first time I have tried it *blushes* This is a gorgeous purple polish with an extremely strong colour shift to gold/copper. Beautiful! It went on super smooth and easy! One thing I will note - this is a polish that when you remove it, it looks like you beat up a fairy .. glitter EVERYWHERE!
This is 2 coats of Julep Kate. I got this polish a few weeks ago with the discount code Julep gave the Mavens who filled out their Beauty Bio on the site. I have been looking for a new and different white, and thought I would give this one a go. As you can see, in the bottle it has a pearly shimmer to it, and it did transfer onto the nail, but didn't photograph well. It's not an in-your-face shimmer like Julia's though, it's nice and subtle. I did have a little trouble working with this polish, it streaked pretty good on the first coat. It evened out a little better on the second coat, but there were still a few spots.
This is 2 coats of OPI Can't Let Go, no top coat. This is the purple Liquid Sands from the original collection released. I found this and a couple other Liquid Sands in my Winners store for $7.99 so I picked up a few. I don't know if I am a fan of them. I know I love the Julie G Frosted Gumdrops textured polishes, but there is something about having the larger hexes in these that I don't like. As you can see, when I put some cuticle balm on, some of the hex glitters fell off (pinky and ring nails) leaving bald spots. I do, however, love the colour of this polish, but it didn't quite capture properly - it's a bit more purple than it shows.
And there you have the swatches for the week. Come back next week to see what I have swatched for you!

I think purples are hard to capture on camera. I'm not a big fan of that textured one either, but the julia, wow! love it.
