2mm Square Nail Studs - REVIEW

Good morning and Happy Hump Day!  My first nail post of 2014 comes half way into January.. shame on me :(  I'm such a bad blogger!  I have lost my drive to blog, but I have made the commitment to Born Pretty Store to do a review on a product they sent me, which I was really excited about receiving, so I figured it was high-time I pull myself together and get back in the saddle!  This post contains affiliate links, and this product was sent to me free of charge for an honest product review.

Christmas Nails #3

Hey everyone and Happy Friday!!  How many of you are done work for the Christmas season?  Yesterday was my last day of work for the year, and I don't go back until January 6th!!  WOOHOO!!!

I figured with it being less than 5 days till Christmas Day, I should probably post another Christmas mani!  I did this a while ago, because as you know I have been losing my polishing mojo :(  But, let's take a look!

Christmas Nails #1

Hello and Happy Two Weeks till Christmas!!  I can't believe we are so close!  Next week is my last week of work, and Tyler and I are getting our tree this weekend!  Yahoo!!  Now, let's just hope that Owen doesn't pull it down while we are away at work next week, and that I manage to get all my shopping done before it's too late!

I know I promised a bunch of Christmas nails for the month of December, but I have lost my polish mojo.. again.  I have done a few, so I will start with posting the first one I did -

Holiday Nail Art Challenge Week 1

Happy Sunday everyone, and Happy December 1st!!  Only 24 more sleeps :D

I have a late mani submission for the Nail Polish Canada Holiday Nail Art Challenge.  Yes, I have had all week to do it, but I have been super lazy and only did it last night, very last minute.  Let's take a look - I am very excited for the way this turned out!  The theme for this week's challenge was snow, my FAVOURITE part of winter and Christmas :D

Dot Shower Mani - Facebook Request

Good morning, happy Monday!  Tyler and I were looking at the weather forecast for this week and they are predicting wet flurries over night for all of this week :D  YIPPEE!!!  (Yes, I'm sick in the head, it's all good ;) )

Today I have a mani I did a while back (and the last of my "draft" posts) that was suggested to me by a Facebook fan and friend, Kim!  I asked my followers to send me links of manis they wanted me to try to replicate and she was the only one with suggestions, and she continues to send me suggestions from time to time.  Here was the inspiration for this mani.  Let's take a look at what I did :)

Hallowe'en Mani #5

Afternoon my loves!  What's shakin'?  Almost another day of work behind me, and the weekend almost within my grasp!  Tyler and I are going to be heading to my friend's house Saturday to go and see another friend and his band play in their hometown (they normally play in the Toronto area) and I'm kind of excited even though it's at a bar (I don't drink) and they don't play my kind of music.  I don't get out much though :P

I have another Hallowe'en mani for you today!  I found the inspiration for this one on Pinterest, here's the link to the original picture.  Here is my "rendition"!

First Loose Glitter Mani

Good morning!  I hope everyone is recovering well from Turkey Weekend!  I had 3 dinners to go to, and I stuffed my face at each one!!  WOO!!  And the dieting starts ;)

So I have some news, if you haven't seen it already on my Facebook page, Tyler and I have decided on a wedding date!!  We have been engaged for just over 6 years now, and it's high-time we decided, huh?!  ;)  I have been keeping this a secret ever since I went to Tyler's friend's wedding back in September because we were wanting to tell our families on Thanksgiving weekend because that was the only time we were going to be all together and see everyone at the same time.  It actually worked out perfectly because all the families (Tyler's mom and both of my grandparents) were all able to have their dinners on a different day, so we weren't racing around to each family dinner and got to chillax with everyone :)

Onto the nails!  Today I have for you my first ever loose glitter placement mani!  This is inspired by Laura over at PolishAllTheNails because she does some BEAUTIFUL loose glitter placement manis and I admire each and every one of them!

Here is my slime drip mani!

Hallowe'en Mani #3

Good morning and Happy Thursday!!  Last day of the work week for me, and it's that much closer to Turkey weekend here in the Great White North!  Yahoo!!  I love turkey dinners - aside from all things pasta, turkey is my favourite meal.  But you have to have all the trimmings - stuffing, potatoes, turnip, coleslaw, peas, gravy... and grandma's homemade apple pie *drool*  My cousins and I are in charge of dessert this year, so not sure if we will get some of grandma's apple pie.  I think it's high-time I got the recipe from her, no?

Alrighty, onto the nails!  This is the third Hallowe'en mani I have done, and I love the look of them every time I see them, so of course I had to do them again this year - Candy Corn Nails!

Swatch-It-Up-Saturday Oct 5

Afternoon everyone!  What a dreary weekend!  It's definitely fall, and most of the trees around here have lost 90% of their leaves.. does that mean winter will be extra early this year?  One can only hope, right?? ;)

It's Swatch-It-Up-Saturday, and I will call this one the "Avon Edition" because it's mostly Avon polishes.  I did a swatch-a-thon last week, and I worked on swatching all of my Avon polishes.  I hope to work through entire brands at a time, when I have a chance to sit down and swatch for a whole day.  Let's get started!

Swatch-It-Up-Saturday Sep 28

Good morning my loves!  I hope everyone has fun plans for this weekend!  As I write this, I am working on some polish swatching because, quite frankly, I have too many untried or unswatched polishes and it drives me crazy every time I look at my polish list!  But, it's also Swatch-It-Up-Saturday, so while I am working diligently, here is what I have worn over the past week!

Fall Waterfall Mani

Evening ladies and gents!  I hope everyone enjoyed their week.  I had to work today, so I didn't have any time to work on blog posts, so hopefully I will have time tomorrow to do up the Swatch-It-Saturday post tomorrow morning.

I put on Julep Alma on Wednesday night and at first I was kind of grossed out by the colour (I will go into that more in my swatch post tomorrow), but then I got thinking about what kind of nail art I could do over it and this is what I came up with!

Pink and Grey Mani

Hey everyone!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  My sister came and spent the day with me on Friday and I did her nails.  She chose to do pink and grey, and when I was done, I told her she should do grey polka dots on the pink accent nail.  She "doesn't like polka dots" and is "blah" (her words) so we left it as grey on all nails and pink on ring accent nails.  I told her I was going to do my nails to match, but I was going to add polka dots and she was going to wish she did polka dots on hers!  Here is what I did:

W is for Winnie the Pooh Water Marble

Evening everyone!  I'm so glad it's a long weekend so I don't have to go to work tomorrow :D  That and today wasn't a very productive day, so I'm glad I have another "do-over" day :)

Tonight I have my "W" mani for the ABC Nail Art Challenge!  There are only 4 weeks left of the Challenge, I can't believe we are this close to the end already!  So much has happened in the last 20+ weeks!  Let's get to it, shall we?
