Swatch-It-Up-Saturday Nov 30
Evening! I almost forgot to post this today! Well, here we are on the last day of November, the Christmas season will start in full swing tomorrow, and I will be able to plug my Christmas lights in :D YAY! Tyler and I put the outside lights up a few weekends ago, taking advantage of a warm day, but I haven't been "allowed" to turn them on until December 1st.
It's Swatch-It-Up-Saturday and I have a LOT of catching up to do. This is going to be a picture-heavy post, so let's get right to it.

Hallowe'en Mani #2
Hey everyone! Hopefully you are enjoying the last day of your weekend - I don't want to go back to work tomorrow :( I thought I would take today to do up some blog posts so that I have something to post for the rest of the week, since I have been slacking on that, hardcore!
Today I have my Hallowe'en Mani #2 for you :D I love the way this one came out, so let's take a look!
For this, I applied one coat of Different Dimension Bazinga! (from the Big Bang Theory collection) over 2 coats of China Glaze Ingrid. The combination felt very fall/Hallowe'en-ish to me, and I loved the way it looked! With it being Stamping week for COTW on my Facebook group (I think we are changing it to Mani Of The Week - MOTW), I decided to stamp the little devil guys from BM-305 and Julep Mystery Yellow. This polish stamped surprisingly well :) They are just so cute!
Then I decided to see what it looked like mattified, and I love it even more!
I really love stamping, it makes nail art so easy! This is also my first time stamping over a glitter, and while I see it on a couple of the blogs that I follow, I have never tried it because I was afraid that when I did it, the stamping would take away from the glitter. In this case, I think it definitely added to it :D
That's it for today! What do you think of my little guys?? I think they are just so cute!! Alright, I'm off to work on some more post drafts right now!

Swatch-It-Up-Saturday Oct 5
Afternoon everyone! What a dreary weekend! It's definitely fall, and most of the trees around here have lost 90% of their leaves.. does that mean winter will be extra early this year? One can only hope, right?? ;)
It's Swatch-It-Up-Saturday, and I will call this one the "Avon Edition" because it's mostly Avon polishes. I did a swatch-a-thon last week, and I worked on swatching all of my Avon polishes. I hope to work through entire brands at a time, when I have a chance to sit down and swatch for a whole day. Let's get started!

Swatch-It-Up-Saturday Sep 14
Good morning lovely readers! I hope everyone is staying snuggled up this morning! It's a whopping 4°C here this morning and there was a heavy layer of frost out in the country - I'm working this morning and my mom was telling me on the way in to work :) And you know what that means!! Winter is coming!!! :D YAY!!!
It's yet another Swatch-It-Up-Saturday! Come check out all the swatches I have been hoarding! There are LOTS, so let's get right to it, shall we?

Congratulations Josh and Irena!
Happy Monday Tuesday Hump Day lovely readers! Yes, I have had this blog ready to post since Monday but I have been too lazy to actually hit the post button and plaster it all over Facebook. I'm pretty lame, huh?? Last weekend (Aug 18) Tyler and I attended Tyler's friend's wedding. Tyler was in the wedding party, and he looked pretty darn good in his tux if I do say so myself ;)
And of course, I had to come up with an outfit (and mani to match) to look just as good :) My dress was a red satin with black mesh overlay to make it look burgundy, with pink beads sewn on in a floral pattern. My shoes were 5-1/2" heels from JustFab called Vanna, in the Wine colour. I also brought some Dr. Scholl's Fast Flats with me because I knew I wouldn't last the entire night with the heels on - 5-1/2" is a HUGE heel for me!
Here is what I did with my nails:

City of Bones
Morning everyone! It's the weekend!! Later this afternoon, Tyler and I are going to watch City of Bones with some friends, and spend the night to have a BBQ with the same friends tomorrow night :) So, of course, in celebration of watching the movie tonight, I did my nails to match :) I asked on the Facebook page what you guys thought I should do, and Amber-Marie suggested doing some runes on my nails, and linked me this photo. Here is what I came up with ...

Happy Sunday! We're starting to count down the days till moving day :D Just a bit more to pack, like my polishes and the clothes I will need for the next couple weeks. Tyler and I got a BBQ yesterday too :D I have to say that I LOVE shopping for house stuff with him!! We also went to look at bathroom hardware like towel bars, etc. but we are waiting until we go for our first visit to make sure there hasn't been anything put up :)

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
All polishes are purchased with my own money unless stated otherwise.
Morning ladies and gents! Did my Canadians survive the long weekend? We had such beautiful weather all weekend, considering normally the temperatures plummet and it rains and/or snows on this weekend here in Ontario. I did hear that in Newfoundland they received almost 60cm of the white stuff over the weekend. *_* Wish I was there... :)
Anywho, onto the nails. I was in a bit of an "I don't want to post" mood last week, so these are from last week when the COTW was NEONS. This is China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. I'm not going to lie to you, I did use the brighten scale on my photo editing program to lighten these pictures up, but that's because they were pretty dark. Not sure what is up with my light box... *sigh*

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy
All polishes are purchased with my own money unless stated otherwise.
Good morning readers!! :D I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was kinda-sorta busy, but relaxing at the same time - if that makes sense :P Tyler, my sister, my sister's friend, Owen and I went for a 2 hour hike on Saturday, then to Dairy Queen after :D I got a new Blizzard Waffle Cone, and while it was good, I think I would rather a Blizzard out of a cup - a) you get more ice cream that way, and b) the waffle cone was just kinda "meh". I also got the Blizzard of the month - Choco Peanut Butter Brownie, and again, it was just kinda "meh". Shoulda stuck to my regular Skor Blizzard in a cup, but I'm glad I tried it :)
Today I've got for you a neon polish from last year, maybe a couple years ago? I dunno, I just know that I LOVE it and I don't care when it came out, lol! This is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy. **SUNGLASSES REQUIRED!**

Sally Hansen Mudslide and China Glaze Fairy Dust
Happy Monday! This is the first of what I'm hoping to be 3 posts today, so let's get started!
This is what I did with my Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Mudslide mani last week. I know, I told you to "come back tomorrow" on Thursday, but it was a bit of a hectic weekend! I will go into more detail in one of my other posts :)

First Tape Mani
Happy Wednesday lovely readers! It snowed again last night! I'm not read for winter to be over, it feels like it just got here :(
Today I have for you a tape mani that I did over China Glaze Unpredictable that I showed you yesterday. When I posted the picture of Unpredictable for COTW in my group, I asked for any nail art suggestions and it was suggested to add purple to it. So I took that and this is what I came up with:

China Glaze Unpredictable
Good morning fellow polishers! Today I have a polish that I have had for a while (since November-ish.. whoops!) that I haven't tried until now. I did these the other day for COTW (colour of the week) that we have in my FB group - this week's colour is green, so I picked China Glaze Unpredictable!

China Glaze Escaping Reality
Good morning! So as much as I loved doing all the Christmas manis over the month of December, I feel it's time to put away the reds and greens for a little while and use some other colours in my stash :D
I got a few of the China Glaze Cirque de Soleil collection and I decided to start with Escaping Reality. This is one of my new favourite pinks! It's so bright and so pretty! It reminds me of a Barbie pink, but a little brighter.
This is 3 coats of Escaping Reality. With this polish, you have to put a top coat over top to make it really shine because it has that neon polish quality where it has a rubbery/matte appearance before you add the top coat.
What is your go-to colour now that the holidays are over? Are you ready to put the reds and greens away too?

Nail Polish Canada Nail Art Challenge Week 2
YAY!!! It's December! Time to bust out the Christmas manis for a whole month! And what better way to do that than to do a "present mani" for the Nail Polish Canada Holiday Nail Art Challenge??
I love everything about Christmas -- the food, the family get togethers, the decorations, the snow, the cold, the smells, and of course the PRESENTS! Although, I love giving presents more than I love getting them, buuuut I don't mind opening one or two ;D What is your favourite part about Christmas?
For the second week of the Challenge, the theme is Presents. This could be any way you wanted to interpret it -- whether it be doing a mani showing what gift you wanted to receive most this year, to give a hint to your family and friends ;) or the ways to receive presents. I chose the way to receive presents -- all wrapped beautifully and of course the main giver of gifts... (in Buddy the Elf voice) SANTA!!!!!! :D
Here are some close-ups:
Julep Delaunay base colour topped with China Glaze Twinkle Lights. This is to resemble the meaning of Christmas... GLITTER! Haha, just kidding.. kinda! everything during the Christmas season is packed with glitter :)
I hope you love this mani as much as I do! I don't want to take it off, and I'm actually not looking forward to it with all the glitter that is incorporated into it.. *sigh*
Don't forget to check out all the other wonderful present manis of the bloggers participating in the Challenge and vote for your favourite!

Butter London West End Wonderland base colour with Butter London Pillar Box Red, Zoya Irene and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On lines drawn using a toothpick to create a plaid look to represent wrapping paper :)

Zoya Blaze base colour with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On stamped with Konad plate M67 and striped on for a wrapped gift, just for you! ;)
Ring -- Christmas Tree Nail (yes, it's upside down, sorry lol!)
Water marble with Julep Courteney, Avon Electric Green and Zoya Irene. Topped with Dollish Polish Dino-Mite Yoshi (perfect for "Christmas tree decorations") and cat eye shaped rhinestones for a star.
This is definitely one of my favourites of this mani! I will be doing this as a full mani for the Christmas season!!

NOTD: China Glaze Lubu Heels
Good morning and happy Wednesday! Today is my last day of work for the week because tonight I'm headed to my friends for our Twilight Marathon day tomorrow and the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn Part 2!! I am so excited for this, but I can't believe it's going to be all over :(
So what is a "Twilight Marathon"? At a movie theatre about an hour from me they are showing the first 4 movies (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Part 1 for those of you who don't follow Twilight :) ) and then at 10pm we are going to watch the new (and last) movie, Breaking Dawn Part 2 :D The whole thing starts at 12 noon and there's about 30mins of intermission between each movie for stretching, bathroom breaks and eating :)
Breaking Dawn is my favourite book of the 4 and I hope that this last one is as good as the first part was :) I have only watched Breaking Dawn Part 1 once since watching it a couple times in theatres last year, so I can't wait to watch it again :)
Anywho, so in celebration of the movie and the Twilight Marathon (so happy they are showing all 5!!), I asked my Facebook page fans what polish I should wear for this "outing" and Brandy M suggested China Glaze Lubu Heels. When I looked it up I knew I had to get it, it was SO Twilight-y :) So I hopped on over to Nail Polish Canada and got it ordered :)
I put it on last night as I knew I wouldn't have time to do it tonight and I figure because the friends I'm going with aren't as into polish as me I wouldn't take it to paint my nails when I got to my friend's house tonight :)
WARNING - picture heavy
I was trying to get the full effect of the polish :)
This really is a beautiful polish... in the bottle and in bright light. All nails have 2 coats with a top coat, I probably could have put a 3rd coat on. This is a black jelly base with red micro glitter that isn't really that noticeable in normal/dull lighting and looks like it's just black most of the time. I haven't seen it out in the sunlight yet, the sun is hiding today, of course! I'm not sure how to bring the red glitters out more for "normal viewing" :( I was wondering about putting some red polish on it to pull the red glitters out, but I didn't really want to cover up any of the polish so that the glitters weren't visible either. Not sure what I can do to it. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know :)
While I really like this polish, I'm not sure this is something I would wear all the time just because it is so dark and not as sparkly as I hoped it would be in every day lighting. Maybe another top coat would make it more sparkly, but I didn't have time to do 2 last night to try it out.
What do you think? Is this polish right up your alley?
Are you a Twi-hard too or could you care less about the books and movies?
