All polishes are purchased with my own money unless stated otherwise.

Gooood afternoon!  It's a dreary day in the neighbourhood, but they ARE calling for wet flurries later today - winter's not over yet folks!

Today's post marks the same post number as number of GFC followers - 257!  I am so thankful for each and every one of you guys, and I feel I don't say it enough!  You guys are the reason I don't really look like I'm talking to myself ;)  Thanks for that!! :D

Today I have for you my "D" mani for the ABC Challenge.  Everyone is welcome to join in, all the rules can be found in the link.

Dollish Polish The Koopa King

I hope everyone has been having a good week!  It's getting cold here again and there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow, so I'm pretty excited!

Today is the 2nd last day for the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros collection marathon, I can't believe it's almost over!  Although, my nails have almost had enough of glitters for a while.  Have to stick it out for another 2 weeks, then it will be all cremes and nail art for the month of February.  Today I have for you The Koopa King.

Dollish Polish A Peachy Princess

Happy Saturday everyone!  It feels like Sunday to me, so this weekend feels extra long ;)  This is the first of 2 posts I will be doing today.  I was going to do them sooner, but then I had to go to the gym, then take the dog for a walk when I got home and rent some movies to watch with Tyler tonight :)

I have for you the 3rd instalment to the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros collection marathon here - A Peachy Princess.

Dollish Polish It's a Me Mario

Who is ready for another polish collection series, raise your beautifully polished hand!  Today I have for you the first polish from the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros polish collection, It's a Me Mario.  As a kid, the Super Mario Bros video game was the only one I was coordinated enough to play, and to this day that is still the case ;)  I don't have enough patience to try to figure out other video games, and I don't have to coordination to use those little toggle things (sorry, I don't know the name of them!) to control my character, so I avoid those types of games at all costs!

So to quote Mario.. "Letsa go!!"

Nail Polish Canada Nail Art Challenge Week 2

YAY!!!  It's December!  Time to bust out the Christmas manis for a whole month!  And what better way to do that than to do a "present mani" for the Nail Polish Canada Holiday Nail Art Challenge??

I love everything about Christmas -- the food, the family get togethers, the decorations, the snow, the cold, the smells, and of course the PRESENTS!  Although, I love giving presents more than I love getting them, buuuut I don't mind opening one or two ;D  What is your favourite part about Christmas?

For the second week of the Challenge, the theme is Presents.  This could be any way you wanted to interpret it -- whether it be doing a mani showing what gift you wanted to receive most this year, to give a hint to your family and friends ;) or the ways to receive presents.  I chose the way to receive presents -- all wrapped beautifully and of course the main giver of gifts... (in Buddy the Elf voice) SANTA!!!!!! :D

Here are some close-ups:

Thumb -- Santa Suit Nail
Butter London Pillar Box Red base colour with two vertical rows of dots in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, a stripe of Jordana Pop Art Black Mark and Butter London West End Wonderland for the belt!
This nail was inspired by Mary at Swatch and Learn's Santa Nails nail art design.
Index -- Wrapping Paper Nail
Butter London West End Wonderland base colour with Butter London Pillar Box Red, Zoya Irene and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On lines drawn using a toothpick to create a plaid look to represent wrapping paper :)
Middle -- Wrapped Gift Nail
Zoya Blaze base colour with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On stamped with Konad plate M67 and striped on for a wrapped gift, just for you! ;)
Ring -- Christmas Tree Nail (yes, it's upside down, sorry lol!)
Water marble with Julep Courteney, Avon Electric Green and Zoya Irene.  Topped with Dollish Polish Dino-Mite Yoshi (perfect for "Christmas tree decorations") and cat eye shaped rhinestones for a star.
This is definitely one of my favourites of this mani!  I will be doing this as a full mani for the Christmas season!!
Pinky -- Glitter Nail
Julep Delaunay base colour topped with China Glaze Twinkle Lights.  This is to resemble the meaning of Christmas... GLITTER!  Haha, just kidding.. kinda!  everything during the Christmas season is packed with glitter :)

I hope you love this mani as much as I do!  I don't want to take it off, and I'm actually not looking forward to it with all the glitter that is incorporated into it.. *sigh*

Don't forget to check out all the other wonderful present manis of the bloggers participating in the Challenge and vote for your favourite!

NOTD: Dollish Polish Team Salvatore

Hey everyone!  I'm sneaking this post in before the Challenge.  From today until September 25 the posts will consist of all the entries for each day of the 10 Day Nail Art Challenge.

I wanted to show you the other polish I got in my Dollish Polish haul, Team Salvatore.  For those of you who aren't familiar with it, this polish is based off of the TV Series The Vampire Diaries.  I love this show, it's one of my favourites!  It is in its 4th season this year and the season premier is October 11, for those of you who are waiting for it :)

This polish is beautiful, though next time I would layer it over something else.  I layered 2 coats of Team Salvatore over one coat of Julep Harley so it's a little tricky to see the silver microglitters.  In this you also have medium silver, black and red hexes, medium red squares and large black and red squares.

I definitely think this is a great glitter, and though it's based off of Vampire Diaries, I will be sporting it for Twilight weekend in November :D

As with 3 Best Friends Anyone Could Have you have to make sure you stalk Dolly's Facebook page to find out when she will be restocking her shop, and you can even get a "sneak peek" to what will be stocked here.

NOTD: Dollish Polish 3 Best Friends Anyone Could Have

Hi-de-ho everyone!  I'm so glad it's Friday!  I get to spend the day with my baby Owen, snuggled on the couch watching some TV, and painting my nails of course, while Tyler's at work :D  I love mommy-baby time!  (For those of you who are new here, firstly -- welcome!  Secondly, Tyler is my fiancĂ© and Owen is our beloved canine/tries-so-hard-to-be-human fur-baby.)  What does everyone have planned for today and the rest of the weekend?  I don't work today, but I have to work for a little bit tomorrow morning.  Other than that, the weekend is going to be spent with my happy little family :D

I have for you today swatches of Dollish Polish 3 Best Friends Anyone Could Have.  I LOVE this glitter!  I'm not big on glitter just because it's a pain in the tush to remove even with the foil method, however, for this I have made an exception.  Let's take a look!

So first things first.  This is one coat of glitter!  Yep, you read that correctly, ONE COAT!  I applied it over 2 coats of Julep Gunta which I received in my September Julep Maven Box and I will be putting up swatches after the Challenge, so I will discuss that polish then.

Back to 3 Best Friends Anyone Could Have -- this glitter is AMAZING, seriously, if you can get your hands on this, do it, you will NOT be disappointed.  Let's zoom in and really take a look at this!

In this creation you have silver microglitter, small and large silver hex glitter, medium light-ish blue hex glitter, and even a few silver bar glitter pieces!  This is an exciting polish!

Just a word of caution, this glitter may blind drivers in on-coming cars.  I was noticing while I was driving home when I was wearing this that the sunlight was reflecting off the glitters hardcore.  I was thinking "man if Owen was in the car he'd be all over me!"  Owen likes to chase shiny objects and laser lights so this polish would drive him bonkers!  I will have to be careful with it ;

If you love glitter, or even if you're not overly fussy about it like I am, you are going to love this glitter!  Make sure you stalk Dolly's Facebook page to find out when the next release is going to be :D

Dollish Polish Nail Haul

Howdie!  It's Thursday!  Woohoo, time for the weekend to start (for me anyways).  I get to spend quality mommy-baby time with Owen tomorrow and I'm so excited.  Him and I are going to paint our nails and watch TV all day :D  Haha, just kidding -- a) Tyler would take my head off if I ever painted Owen's nails and b) I would never paint an animals nails anyways, even though there is such a thing as pet paw-lish.

Anywho, today I have for you my haul from Dollish Polish!  I was super excited to get this in the mail.  I was stalking her website when she finally told us that she was "going live" between 12pm and 5pm on August 15.  Ever since I saw her Mario Bros collection, I have wanted to try her polishes.  She wasn't releasing the Mario Bros collection at this release, but I still wanted to get my hands on something!  So while I was so patiently waiting for the shop to stock (by hitting Ctrl + R to refresh the page every minute), I was at work and I thought "oh man, it's going to stock when I go for lunch at 1pm."  I went out to get my lunch at 1 and sure enough, by the time I got back she was already live!

Let's see what I got my hands on, shall we :D

Oooh I love the little mesh baggie this was shipped in!  So cute and such a nice personal touch :)

Everything wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a ziploc bag, nice and safe for travel! :)

First up is Team Salvatore.  I am a fan of The Vampire Diaries (the 4th season starts October 11th for those who are fans!) show and when I saw this I wanted to get it :)  I was able to get my hands on it during the frenzy that is caused by Dolly's releases :D  I just went with a mini bottle.

Next up, 3 Best Friends Anyone Could Have.  At first I didn't understand where the name came from but I liked the colours if the glitters.  When I looked at the listing in Dolly's shop it is a phrase from The Hangover.  I finally was able to watch that movie after falling alseep watching it twice before!  It's a pretty good movie :)  I told Tyler he's not allowed to do that the night before our wedding!  Haha!  Again, I just went with the mini bottle :)

Now, you're probably wondering "what about the other 2??"  Those are Christmas gifts, so I can't show you those today, but I will later on :)  I don't want the recipients to know what I got them! :D

If you want to get your hands on these polishes, or other Dollish Polish polishes, you really have to watch/stalk her Facebook page in order to find out when she is restocking her shop.  And then you can join in on the frenzy!  Her shop is here if you want to look around and see what will be available.  There is also a list of what polishes she is planning to release in the near future on this page, so make sure to keep checking back for your favourites!
