Easter Nails

Happy Friday everyone!  I can't believe it, but I think that Spring has finally sprung!  If you have been here for a while, you know I'm a winter person but this winter has been super long even for me.  Today, Owen, Lexi and I spent some time getting our bronze on on the side deck where the sun was beating down and making it nice and toasty warm!  Lexi was finding it a little hot and opted to go lie on the snow in the backyard instead, lol!

Last week, Celine from Nail Polish Canada emailed me and asked if I wanted to participate in their Easter Nail Art Challenge.  It's been a while since I've done nail art, so I thought I would give 'er a go!  Here's what I came up with:

I used a bunch of polishes, I'll just list them for you guys:

Julep Bess (blue)

Julep Blake (yellow)

OPI Rumple's Wiggin' (purple)

Julep Hayden (orange)

Julep Martha (pink)

Jordana Black

LA Colors Art Deco striping polish in White

China Glaze Fairy Dust (glitter)

Julep Matte Top Coat

The picture doesn't show the polishes in 100% colour accuracy, but it was late at night when I took the picture and by the time I got up in the morning, my sugar spun thumb was all smushed.

I love pastel polishes, and they look even better when they are topped with a matte top coat.  I love the chalky look of them :)

Swatch-It-Up-Saturday July 13

Happy Saturday!  Today, and this past week, I have been spending a LOT of time trying to eliminate the snails in my flower beds.  At first, seeing snails was cool and cute, but now that I have discovered that what I thought was my lack of a green thumb is actually the snails and slugs mowing down on my flowers it's definitely not cute anymore :(  Over the past week I have probably collected about 150 snails, it's getting ridiculous!  Although, I think I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and have almost caught them all.  On a positive note, the snails' shells have definitely inspired me to so some s"nail" art ;)

It's Swatch-It-Saturday, and I have been collecting some swatches for you over the last few weeks, even though I haven't done a whole lot of polishing.

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!  I thought it would be super appropriate to do some Easter themed nails for this weekend :)  I am loving all the pastel coloured polishes everyone is coming out with for the spring!  I'm also surprised by how many I actually have in my collection :)  And what's a pastel polish without adding a matte top coat, right?

Julep Helen and Girly Bits Hocus Pocus

Good afternoon and HAPPY MONDAY!  Weeeee?  :)  The good news?  It's a short week, and the Easter Bunny is visiting this weekend with an abundance of chocolate for everyone!!  I heart me some chocolate :D

Yesterday I told you to come back to see what I did to Julep Helen, and here is what I came up with!  I topped it with Girly Bits Hocus Pocus holographic top coat.

Hello everybody!!  I can't believe the weekend is over already.. well basically.  What exciting things were you guys up to?  Me, I didn't do a whole lot.  I got a coat of primer and 2 coats of paint on the inside of my display board, but that's about it.

Today I have another Julep for you.  I have been on a real Julep kick lately :)  This is Helen which came in the February Classic With a Twist box.

Avon Loving Lavender

Second post for Friday - look at me go!! :D  I thought because I didn't get one up for you guys yesterday that I would do my best to get 2 up for you today!

In this post I have a swatch of Avon Loving Lavender.  I really love this color - it's perfect for spring!

NOTD: Julep Renee

Hey everyone!  I am feeling really bad for not posting at regular times.  Life seems to be getting crazier as each week passes, lol!  This is going to be a really short post, I apologize!

Today I have for you Julep Renee that I got in my September Mystery Box.  This is a beautiful light purple that I really love :)

This is 2 coats of the polish and it covers so well :)  This colour will be great for spring!  I can't wait to do Easter nails with this one :D

NOTD: Julep Jessica

Hey everybody!  Happy Saturday!

I have for you today Julep Jessica that I received in my August Mystery Box.  This is a beautiful baby blue colour and I think this will be great for Easter nail art, as well as wintery nail art :)

I really love this colour, it's so soft :)  This would also be a perfect colour if you are going to a baby shower for a boy ;)  There could be some seriously cute nail art done with this colour for a baby shower!

Even though I wasn't completely wowed with this colour in my Mystery Box as it wasn't one that I was really wanting, like always, Julep has made me fall in love with it :D
